FASAN

About

We are the plant, not the middleman.

FASAN produces glazed ceramic in Mexico. We form, glaze and fire the pieces ourselves, and that is exactly what lets us answer for the color, the durability and the ship date.

The workshop

Clay, glaze and kiln.

We work with clay slip-cast in molds. It is a slower process than plastic or resin casting, and it is also the reason the piece weighs what it should and does not fade with use.

We formulate the glaze here. For a buyer that is not a technical footnote: it means that if you send us a color sample we can match it, and that the tone on your second container will match the first.

On the breeze blocks we leave the edge unglazed on purpose. That exposed band of clay is the material's signature — it is what separates a fired piece from an imitation.

Quality control

What we check before packing.

Wall thickness

Verified at forming. A thin wall makes the piece cheaper and breaks it in transit; that is not a real saving for anyone.

Drying cracks

Caught after controlled drying, before glaze can hide them. This is the defect that generates the most claims on site.

Color consistency

Every batch is compared against the sample the client approved, not against an internal standard.

Vitrification

A properly fired piece should not absorb water. In a bathroom or on a façade, that is what decides whether the installation lasts.

Mounting flatness

On wall accessories and breeze blocks, the contact face has to seat on tile or mortar without shimming.

Packaging for a long trip

Packaging is tested for road and ocean transport, not just local delivery.

A note for buyers

We put the numbers in writing.

Monthly capacity, minimums per reference, production lead times and certifications are figures we prefer to deliver signed, in the quote, against your actual list of references and volume. We do not publish generic numbers that turn out not to apply to your order.

Want to see the material before deciding?

We will ship a physical sample of whichever references interest you, in the glaze you want to evaluate.
